My new wife and I were very pleased with JSH Music Productions (JSH). We were nervous about who to chose for musical entertainment for our wedding. JSH Music Productions went above and beyond our expectations! We hired Jon and his cadre of professional musicians for our wedding - the jazz band for an outdoor cocktail reception, then a DJ for the indoor party. The musicians were first rate. The music selection was wonderful. His sound system and lights really elevated our wedding. The reception flowed so well, much in part to Jon's ability to read the crowd as we danced from song to song. Jon Harris and JSH Music Productions provided all of the music at our wedding -- acoustic guitar with vocals for our BBQ rehearsal dinner, Spanish guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and DJ and live rock (Stir Father) for our reception. Jon and his guys rocked, and we recommend them highly.
Before the wedding: As our wedding was on a private vineyard, where we had to build out all of our own venues, Jon visited the property months before the big day and helped us figure out how to set up for each event -- recommendations that worked out perfectly. Jon was always responsive with quotes and proposed set lists, available by both phone and e-mail.
Rehearsal BBQ: We did a casual BBQ for all our guests rather than a traditional rehearsal dinner. Stir Father's lead singer sang and played amplified acoustic guitar, providing a fun and mellow atmosphere as our guests mingled and celebrated. He also happily accommodated roasts and two friends who wanted to sing. Jon was there to help set up and to make sure it all went smoothly.
Ceremony Music & Cocktail Hour: Great Spanish guitar. Handled our music choices well, hit his cues perfectly, and provided great background music for the cocktail hour. Set the mood and perfectly matched the event's vibe.
Dinner & Dancing: Jon and Stir Father were, in a word, awesome. Jon nailed the cue for our arrival song and was ready to go with each of our set-piece dances. Then the band kicked in -- and they rocked. Stir Father started with music that all our guests would enjoy, then moved seamlessly through the set list that we'd worked out ahead of time. They sounded fantastic covering everything from "Video Killed the Radio Star" to "Paradise City."
Our photos really tell the story: a full dance floor with guests of all ages having a blast. We had such a good time ourselves that we decided to skip our early departure and have the band play an extra half hour. They even took it in stride when our of our guests, rockin' out at the front of the dance floor, tripped over a monitor and took the lead guitarist down with her.
Jon and the band weren't cheap, but they were worth it. We wanted our wedding to be a big party for all our family and friends, and JSH Music Productions helped make it exactly that.

Vineyard Byrds
Jon did a great job providing the musicians and performing as DJ and as drummer in the band. The violinist and pianist for the ceremony were first rate and professional, and the band, the Vineyard Byrds, was excellent. I would highly recommend Jon to take care of all your musical needs; rehearsal, ceremony, reception, whatever.

We hired JSH Music Productions for a reception band (the Vineyard Byrds) and Jon Harris (the drummer) was also our MC and DJ'd the cocktail hour, the background music for the dinner and music for first dances, etc. Jon was very helpful ahead of time to cater to our every whim and quirk when it came to music selection and special requirements for the ceremony setup, etc. He was very friendly and down to earth and delivered excellent service during the event. All the DJ'd music played flawlessly and without interuption. He was a great MC as well because he stuck to the sequence of events and was still able to adapt when we were running late. When it came time for the band to play, they brought a great energy into the reception and kept the dance floor packed. All my guests, young and old, enjoyed themselves, and I heard nothing but good things from everybody. Most people raved that it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. And the band was also able to learn two new songs for us and played them perfectly.

Dear Jon,
You were very easy to work with and played everything we wanted to hear and more! The timing on the music during the ceremony was perfect as I picked out four different songs for the prelude through the recessional. They all faded in and out nicely.The grand entrances were also a lot of fun and the introductions were flawless. All sound needs were accomodated very nicely.
I am pretty hard to please and I was very happy with the job you did and who I picked as my DJ!

You nailed it. Not only did you manage to incorporate all the suggestions that Sarah & I gave you, but every song that you chose to include during the evening was perfect and amped up the party even more. It was awesome. It's rare to see every single guest on the dance floor, but the variety of music that you played made it that every person was out of their seats at least once. Let me put it this way, how many weddings have the guests chanted "Encore" in unison to hear more from the DJ? We couldn't get enough of what you were playing and it all sounded great, obviously. Oh, and when you played our school fight song...brilliant timing. Thanks again for everything and all the best!

Jon Harris is the best DJ/MC I've ever heard at a wedding, and I'm not just saying that because it was mine. The transitions between songs were seamless and the quality of the sound was incredible. Jon showed professionalism and class but also knew how to have a good time! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ, he had the house rockin all night with the dance floor packed.
